Incredible Houses & Cars of the World’s Most Famous Race Car Drivers

Gilles Villeneuve: Undisclosed Amount, 1978 Ferrari 308 GTS

Gilles Villeneuve is an iconic race car driver who unfortunately died at the young age of 32, in 1982.  The Canadian born Grand Prix driver is considered one of Ferrari’s most-revered in his profession.  He won six Grand Prix races in his career, and as a ‘thank you’, Enzo Ferrari himself gave him this 1978 Ferrari 308 GTS as a gift.

The iconic car only ran 38,000 kilometers and is in its original condition, just as it was when Villeneuve last drove it.  It’s been said that the legendary racer drove this car from his home in Monaco to go to Ferrari’s Maranello base in Italy, that’s a distance of 432 miles that he was able to complete in just 2 hours and 25 minutes.
