Music legend David Bowie’s sudden death in early 2016 took the world by surprise. After all, just 2 days before, he had released his latest album, Blackstar. Later, it would be revealed that he was suffering from liver cancer for the past 18 months. He was on cancer treatment and had hoped that it was in remission. His last known photo was taken during his last public appearance just a little over a month before his death when his musical titled Lazarus, premiered at New York’s Theatre Workshop. Blackstar is full of references to death and mortality, so it looks like the singer had known what was coming for some time.
