After spending 60 years in the news business, broadcast journalist and television personality Barbara Walters retired in 2014, but not before amassing a net worth of $170 million and winning a whopping 34 primetime and daytime Emmy Awards! Walters joined NBC’s The Today Show in 1961 as a writer and by 1974 had moved up the ranks to become the show’s first female co-host. In 1997, she premiered on The View, a popular talk show which is still on air. With a large bank account, Walters also has a large heart, as she donated $15 million to her alma mater.
