When the film Young Guns was released, it was considered as the new generation of Western films. Firstly, it didn’t star old actors, but rather a group of actors ho could be closely considered the ‘brat pack’ of the generation. Well, that is to be expected especially when the film if about the young outlaw Billy the Kid. Although six lead characters were featured in the film, the film is all about the retelling of the adventures of Billy the Kid, so it’s Emilio Estevez’s character that definitely stands out and is most memorable. Some critics claimed that Young Guns was the most accurate retelling of the tale of Billy the Kid, at that time.
