From Child Star to Celebrated Filmmaker: The Incredible and Extraordinary Life of Ron Howard
The Famous Car
Since the 1962 film American Graffiti also centered on drag-racing, many cars from the film became really popular. One of the most famous ones is this 1958 Chevrolet Impala that Steve Bolander owned. Bolander’s character was played by Ron Howard. Those who are familiar with the film should remember Howard’s character loaning the car to his friend, Terry the Toad. The exact car is still in great shape today, fully restored, but those the dents made by Terry have remained. It was put up for auction and is expected to be sold for anywhere between $800,000 to $1.2 million.
