He Loves Horses
Being a native of Texas, Swayze had been exposed to the rodeo scene. It was a visit to Gleannloch Farms that made him fall in love with horses, especially after seeing the famous stud Morafic. Later on, when he and his wife bought their own ranch, they also purchased their first Arabian horse. The couple then decided to breed horses and join show competitions. Because of their busy work schedule and Hollywood projects, Swayze and his wife kept their Arabian horses in Texas, cared for by a caretaker. They visited as often as they could, especially since they had their own plane.
