It’s hard not to hum the tune of Singin’ in the Rain when you see a photo of Gene Kelly or see him in one of his movies. The actor sure did sing and dance his way into the hearts of many fans around the world. Besides Singin’ in the Rain, Kelly is also known for the films An American in Paris and Anchors Aweigh. Dancers are known to sustain injuries all the time, which may also need physical therapy to heal, but an injury is not what caused Kelly’s career to slump, but rather the decline of the Hollywood musical genre in films. The actor’s last screen appearance was in the TV series Sins, 10 years before he passed away.
