We know the reputation that most cities have around the world, that they are hubs of criminal activity and the crime stats sure don’t help city dwellers live a peaceful life, as they always have to be on guard. Like this sweet old lady on the subway. At first you may see that nothing is amiss, but look closely at her right hand and you’ll see that she’s sporting brass knuckles, which is obviously for her protection! It’s sad that she has to feel so unsafe with so many people around her.
