John Savident, 82 Years Old
British actor John Savident may have acted in numerous TV roles over the years, but he is most remembered for playing Monsieur Firmin in The Phantom of the Opera in the West End and also for portraying the role of Fred Elliott on the long running soap, Coronation Street.
After playing Fred on television from 1994 to 2006, when he decided to leave the show, John appeared in many actong projects that included pantomimes, stage shows and television serials. You will also recognize him as the voice of Pendle in the Doctor Who audio-dramas.
