Bill Gates – Porche 911, ~ $80,000
Microsoft founder and philanthropist Bill Gates is known to lead a humble life, but as he admitted to talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, he does often splurge on luxury cars and his collection includes a Ferrari 348, a Jaguar XJ6 and a Porsche 930 Turbo.
But his first big buy right after founding Microsoft was a Porsche 911 supercar and it wasn’t just for show. Bill loved to race and test the speed of his car, and once had to be bailed out by his business partner when he was caught speeding! His beloved Porche was eventually sold at an action for $80,000.
