Costa Rican-Mexican actress, singer and model Maribel Guardia went on to win the 1978 Miss Costa Rica beauty pageant and even participated in the Miss Universe pageant that same year. Eventually Maribel made her way to telenovelas and then eventually, movies. Since 2008, when she released her own album, she has been pursuing a career in music, too. Recently, there was a barefaced video of Guardia circulating on social media and Maribel said that it was okay, as it was her real face and she didn’t mind showing off her wrinkles.
