You Probably Forgot These Things That Happened in the 90s
Millions Watched the O.J. Simpson Verdict Go Down
Every year, the live Television telecast of the Super Bowl attracts millions of viewers from all over the country. In fact, it sort of sets a record, so you can imagine how many people watch it. But there was one instance during the 90s when its record was broken by the televised O.J. Simpson Trial verdict. To jog your memory, the former football player was accused of killing his ex-wife and her friend outside her house. Around 94 million viewers tuned in to watch the trial, and a record-breaking number of pizzas deliveries were also made. To compare, the Super Bowl that year got 90 million viewers. It looked like America dropped everything just to watch if Simpson was guilty or not.
