The Clinton Scandal
Once upon a time in the 90s, the President of the US, Bill Clinton, was involved in a scandal with a 22-year-old intern named Monica Lewinsky. You probably famously remember him saying on TV that he never had any indecent relations with Monica. Many may have forgotten that an investigation regarding the scandal led to Clinton being charged and impeached, but a 21-day Senate trial acquitted him. Contrary to the notion that his image would be tarnished by the scandal, reports claimed that his popularity and approval ratings increased because of it.
