Since 1999, German journalist Maybrit Illner has been hosting her eponymous show, where she talks about current political happenings in the country and abroad. In fact, she has faced many international and national politicians on her show. Her personal life, however, do not involve any confrontations.
Although her first marriage to screenwriter Micheal Illner ended in 2007, she kept his surname even as she married German businessman René Obermann, who heads Warburg Pincus International LLC and Airbus SE. The two had a secret ceremony at a Mecklenburg-Vorpommern castle!
