Before the Last Curtain Call- See The Last On-Screen Performances from Hollywood Greats Before they Died

Watching a movie is like reading a book, you get lost in the make-believe world that some of the world’s famous stars make real with their amazing portrayals of characters.  Hollywood has produced many of the world’s greatest artists, most especially during the period that many call the Golden Age of Hollywood. When anyone mentions Golden Age of Hollywood, names like Marlene Dietrich, Bette Davis, and Clark Gable come to mind.  Instead of hanging up their boots, getting senior care or entering a nursing home, some of these famous stars continued acting right until the end, probably because it was indeed their passion or just to bring in more money to maintain their lifestyle and replenish their bank accounts. Let’s look back at these beloved stars, who are not with us anymore, and see them in their glory days, as well as how they looked when they last appeared on screen right before they passed away…

Rock Hudson – Dynasty

One of the darling heartthrobs of the Hollywood Golden Age, Rock Hudson, starred as a leading man in many famous movies like Magnificent Obsession, All That Heaven Allows, Lover Come Back, and Pillow Talk. Together with actress Doris Day, he created a fabulous on-screen pair, starring in a number of romantic films together.  Healthcare and life insurance may have been last on Hudson’s mind as his career soared, but he needed it later on in life, when he was diagnosed with HIV. Hudson died due to AIDS-related complications in 1985, but he was able to complete shooting for some episodes of the Tv show Dynasty before his passing.
