Famous People Who Died Without You Knowing

Casey Kasem – SEPSIS

Right until his retirement in 2009, DJ, music historian and actor Casey Kasem was the face of American Top 40, since its inception by him in 1970! Say what you will, the man knows his music well. His voice is also immortalized in his voice-acting characters on the animated shows Scooby-Doo, Transformers and Sesame Street. In his later life, his battle with Parkinson’s disease became worse and he was eventually confined to bed. In 2014, at the ripe age of 82, Kasem passed away at a hospital due to sepsis caused by a bedsore. Casey’s children from his first marriage got lawyers involved when his second wife wouldn’t let them see him in his last days.
