Penny Marshall – CARDIOPULMONARY FAILURE
Best known for playing Laverne DeFazio, one-half of the roommates from the 70s television show Laverne & Shirley, actress Penny Marshall had everyone enthralled by her trademark smile and personality. She turned director and producer with hits like A League of Their Own, Renaissance Man and Cinderella Man. As she aged, Penny developed diabetes and cardiovascular disease, which would eventually lead to her death, but had also survived lung cancer. At the age of 75, she passed away in Los Angeles due to cardiopulmonary failure.
