OLD STARS YOU THOUGHT ARE LONG GONE
BUT THEY ARE NOT EVEN PLANNING THEIR RETIREMENT

Joe Montana, Born in 1956

If there’s an NFL player who can be perfectly called a ‘legend’ of the sport, it is none other than Joe Montana. Bearing the nickname ‘Joe Cool’, Montana played for San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs during his long football career. Montana expressed interest in sports in general, not just with football, and his father, Joe Sr. was there to support his son early on. The legend’s favorite sports back then was basketball, and he excelled in it. He started playing amateur football during high school, at Ringgold High School. The school later named their football stadium ‘Joe Montana Stadium’. He chose to play for Notre Dame in college, and a factor that played a key role in his choice of school was because his idol, Terry Hanratty, graduated there. Montana was drafted by San Francisco 49ers after college, the team he played with for 14 seasons. While playing for the 49ers, Montana won a record of four Super Bowl championship, and he also won Super Bowl Most Valuable Player for a record-breaking three times.
