Yoko Ono, Born in 1933
Everyone probably associates Yoko with being the wife of singer John Lennon of The Beatles fame, but Yoko was already an established as a visual artist when she met John at one of her exhibitions. Although she became a wife and a mother soon after, she continued to write music, perform and make movies. Even at the age of 85 Yoko is an ardent human rights activist who believes in non-violence.
