Claire Foy and Queen Elizabeth II
Queen Elizabeth II, the reigning monarch of Great Britain, has been portrayed by many actresses, many times throughout her reign that’s been over 60 years long. One of the most famous was that of Helen Mirren in The Queen, a role that won her an Oscar for Best Actress. But the one who is most famous right now, and also the actress who has embodied the queen perfectly, especially in her younger years, was actress Clair Foy. Foy played the queen in the Netflix series The Crown, a role that won her a TV Series/Drama Best Actress award from the Golden Globes and the Emmys. As her hair color was almost like the queen’s, Foy did not change anything about her appearance, but she was successful in copying the monarch’s mannerisms, speech and tone.
