Johnny Cash
Johnny Cash may be remembered mainly as a country artist but his music transcended other music genres. He is a very familiar name in music, since he is said to be one of the best-selling music artists of all time. Some of his many hits includes Folsom Prison Blues, I Walk the Line, and Ring of Fire. His life with his wife June Carter was featured in the critically-acclaimed film Walk the Line starring Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon. Before Cash found success in music, he joined the U.S. Air Force, undergoing basic and technical training in San Antonio. Just like receiving awards in music, Cash received honors from USAF upon his discharge in 1954.
