Fonda is a famous name in Hollywood, there’s Jane Fonda, then there’s Peter Fonda and Bridget Fonda, but let’s not forget the patriarch of this acting family, Henry Fonda. Often hailed as one of the greatest actors of all time, Fonda is known for his movies The Grapes of Wrath, Once Upon a Time in the West, 12 Angry Men, and On Golden Pond. Did you know that when he was already inducted into Hollywood, Fonda took a leave of absence so he could join the U.S. Navy during World War II? He is said to have been awarded the Bronze Star and the Presidential Citation for his military service. This may be the reason why Fonda was able to play some of his uniformed acting roles so well.
