Paul Newman
Veteran actor Paul Newman had an amazing career as an actor. He is known for movies like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Cool Hand Luke, and The Color of Money. Newman not only entertained his country but also served it when he joined the Navy’s V-12 program when he got into Yale University. When the Navy discovered that Newman was color blind, they released him from the program. But his military career did not end there, he was sent for basic training and later held the positions of rear-seat radioman, gunner for torpedo bombers, and as a turret gunner for aircraft carriers. Because of his great service in the Navy, Newman was awarded the American Area Campaign Medal, the World War II Victory Medal, and the Good Conduct medal.
