Dustin Diamond – LUNG CANCER
One of the most memorable characters from the teenage sitcom Saved By the Bell was the nerdy Screech, who was played by actor Dustin Diamond. The show and Diamond’s role was well received by the audiences, but his career never took off after the show ended and he was limited to starring in spin-offs and movie TVs. In 2015, he spent 4 months in jail in a stabbing incident and was then released early. Sadly, at the age of 44, Dustin was diagnosed with a particularly aggressive form of cancer and just a few weeks after this diagnosis, he passed away in February, 2021.
