If you Think this is a Zebra, Think Again
The animal in the photo may look like a zebra, but it really isn’t, although the animal is a subspecies of the zebra. What appears in the photo is a Quagga, and this is the one and only photograph of this live mare, since this animal breed that naturally lives in South Africa is now extinct. Extinction happened because the Quaggas were hunted and killed, while some were shipped to other countries to make money out of them by displaying them in zoos.
