Garry Marshall, the creator of Happy Days, one day asked the writing team to come up with an episode script that involved an alien, because it was suggested by his son after they watched Star Wars. As some of the cast members recalled, the script was bad, as was the actor they hired to play the alien. Someone suggested an up and coming standup comic named Robin Williams in his place. They hired Robin to play the alien Mork, who did improv acting, and everyone was blown away. Just 4 days after that episode, the actor was hired to star in his own series, Mork and Mindy – and they rest, as they say, is history. Before the actor sadly passed away, he lived in this 653-acre estate in Napa, called Villa Sonrisa or the House of Smiles.
