Christopher Mccandless – Died August 1992
Christopher Mccandless, also known as Alexander Supertramp, was the real-life figure written extensively by author Jon Krakauer in his book, Into the Wild, which has since become a blockbuster film. After graduating from college and earning his university degree in 1990, Chris set out for the open road, traveling most of North America and eventually making his way to Alaska in 1992 where he hoped to live off the land. His body was found by a hunter in a converted bus and he is thought to have died of starvation. Along with his body, his camera and an undeveloped roll of film was also found, which proved to be a chronicle of his last days.
