Heath Ledger – Died January 22, 2008
Few celebrity deaths were as shocking as that of young actor Heath Ledger, who died in early 2008 at the tender age of 28. As it turns out, he had been under depression treatment for some time and also suffered a substance abuse problem. He was found unconscious by his housekeeper and masseuse in his SoHo apartment in New York and later died after emergency responders were unable to revive him. He was still filming his last movie, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, and his last known photograph is one of him in costume for his role.
