She was the “people’s princess,” so her very sudden and tragic death in 1997 left the world shaken. Princess Diana died in a horrific car accident while fleeing paparazzi hounding her and her boyfriend Dodi Fayed. Apart from the outpouring of grief from the public, there was plenty of blame placed on the photographers who mercilessly invaded her privacy. Not only that, several conspiracy theories of the British Royal Family’s involvement in her death have also surfaced. This last photo of Diana, taken mere minutes before the crash, shows her in visible distress while hiding her face and escaping the flashing cameras.
