It’s no surprise that Ron Howard was awarded his own star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame on August 19, 1981, because he appeared in 2 of the most famous and beloved TV shows of all time, The Andy Griffith Show and Happy Days. However, he received a unique distinction when he was awarded a second star in 2015, honoring his directing career. Howard is only one of the few celebrities to have been awarded additional stars, with Bob Hope being the last one who garnered an additional star back in 1993… only his 4th, by the way.
