From Child Star to Celebrated Filmmaker: The Incredible and Extraordinary Life of Ron Howard

Family Home

Because Ron Howard didn’t want his children to join Hollywood, he shifted base with his family from Los Angeles to Connecticut.  This has been the family’s sanctuary, a massive estate that’s 32 acres large, with a mansion that has 17,200 square feet of living space.  The classic New England house must have some very expensive home insurance, and was owned by Ron and Cheryl for 20 years. It has 6 bedrooms, 5 baths, an observatory, walking trails, and a home theater where the family enjoyed watching many movies.  They put up the home for sale in 2014, with a price tag of $27.5 million because they said their kids were all grown up and it was time to move on from their empty nest.
