Judy Garland – I Could Go On Singing

Judy Garland may have made many people smile when they watched her play Dorothy in the classic movie Wizard of Oz, but her life was one of the saddest ones among the greatest stars of Hollywood. Perhaps the actress was not able to handle her fame well and that’s why she resorted to alcohol and drug use to cope. Drugs would eventually cause her untimely death at age 47, with her autopsy showing that she overdosed on Barbiturates. She may not have filed for bankruptcy while she was alive, but her estate was only worth $40,000 at the time of her death, which was a surprise since she used to earn millions of dollars at the peak of her career. Garland was last seen in the film I Could Go On Singing, which released in 1963.
