It’s very unusual that for someone who is considered a germaphobe, Elvis owned an unusual pet, which was none other than a chimpanzee! Elvis loved animals, so when he was approached by Captain Bill Killebrew about a chimp named Scatter that he was selling, he bought him instantly. Scatter was actually a famous TV star; he was in a show called Scatter’s World aired by the Memphis station WMC-TV. The legendary singer felt he would feel at home in Graceland, so he kept him free instead of locking him up in a cage on his property.
