Every Elvis Presley Fan Should Know These Amazing Facts about The Music Legend

Graceland – The home of the ‘king’

Elvis was very close to his parents, so when he became successful, he bought them a home. However, their house at 1034 Audubon Drive seemed small especially as he kept gathering more fame and fortune. So as to not be a nuisance to his neighbors anymore, Elvis bought Graceland for $102,500 on March 19, 1957. After the singer died, Graceland was passed on to his daughter, Lisa Marie. It’s been said that banks wished to sell Graceland because of some financial issues, but Priscilla Presley found another way so the house will remain with her daughter. Elvis’ ex-wife decided to open Graceland to tourists, a move that proved very successful. Graceland now comes second to the White House as the most-visited house in the United States.
