Missed Opportunity
Apocalypse Now, an epic American war film directed by the famous filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola, is considered to be one of Hollywood’s greatest war film, and was even nominated for an Academy Award for best picture. It was indeed a missed opportunity for Carter to pass on a role in this film. She was originally part of the cast, but because of the delays encountered during filming, Carter had some scheduling conflicts. Nevertheless, the actress had shot some portions, which the production decided to retain with the Redux version of the film. It was actress Colleen Camp who replaced Carter.
