The Very First Stunt Woman
For a very long time, many big breaks in Hollywood have been awarded to actors, rarely to actresses. That’s why Wonder Woman was such an achievement with the lead being a woman and a superhero for that matter. When Carter had to perform a stunt that involved her holding on to a helicopter, it was only natural to look for a stunt double for the actress, given how dangerous it was! But there were no available female stunt double to do the scene, so a male stunt double had to be used. Carter was furious with this idea, and with the fact that there were no female stunt doubles working in the industry. Because of this, Carter asked the production company to hire the first ever female stunt woman in Hollywood.
