Like the time when the actress asked to hire a woman stunt double for the first time in Hollywood, Carter really goes all out for the causes she believes in. She is an advocate and supporter of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, she fights for legal equality for the LGBT community, regularly attends pride parades in Washington D.C to show support, and she also supports Pro-Choice rights for women. Furthermore, Carter is an advocate and spokesperson for Irritable Bowel Syndrome, a disease that her mother suffered from for over 30 years. We won’t forget to mention that Carter also is a frequent guest speaker at different health and well-being events related to alcoholism.
