Mysterious Facts and Discoveries of Ancient Rome
Excavations in Lechaion Harbor
At one point in the past, Lechaion was the main harbor town of Corinth, an ancient city located at the Peloponnese peninsula of Southern Greece. It was famously sieged and destroyed by the Romans in 143 BCE, then rebuilt a century later by the famous Julius Caesar. Plus they found other more incredibly well-preserved discoveries like a two-thousand-year-old wooden posts, carved wood pieces, seeds, and even bones.
